I was recently talking with someone about the 60´s and 70´s rennaisance revival in fashion and they came up with this term of ¨neo-revival¨ to express the wish of bringing it back; It felt incredibly appropriate for this set I was working on and that I now present to you, the Vitral set

The Vitral is heavily inspired on Gunne sax medieval rennaissance revival, the print on the fabric, with its soft oranges and dusty pinks over the green, made it look like stained glass hence why I named it Vitral, which is the word in spanish and also resembles ¨vitrage¨ (curtains in dutch) phonetically, which I found hilarious since the whole set is made with vintage 100% cotton curtains I found at the thrift shop.
With this set I´m also introducing a new standard for all my one of a kind works: There is no overlocking or elastic, every join is french or felted seams and all the adaptative multi-sizing system is made entirely with ribbons, it gives the garment more durability and the posibility of adapting better to specific body parts.

Making the skirt and the bodice as two separate pieces also allowed me to create a bust pattern that adapts to bigger sizes, making it comfortable to wear it without a bra, as it offers the perfect support, and also making it a much more versatile piece that you can wear as separates to create many more different outfits. And because in this house nothing goes to waste the Vitral set includes a head accesory: a bandana that doubles down as a victorian style belt!
You can be assured that I will be making a lot more of this type of bandana in many different fun fabrics in the future

As a small complement I also made another hair clip with a small rosette and vintage thrifted christmas ornaments I´ve had for a long time and was dying to use on something, alas its time came! These ones are sold sepparately from the main set but they´re so much worth it, they work perfectly as a discreet touch of whimsy for the daily life
Vitral: The sound of a melody hairclips

What do you think, will you come join me by the river?
